This 39' Single Dome Tank Car is painted black with white logo and lettering.  It was built by American Car & Foundry of Milton, Pennsylvania.  The Pacific Whaling Company (later the American Pacific Whaling Company) opened the only whaling station in the Aleution Islands in 1912.  It operated until 1939, then it was leased to the U.S. Navy between 1942 until 1945 as a midway fueling and repair station.
