This 33' Twin Bay Hopper with Offset Sides and Black Coal Load is painted black with white logo and lettering.  Part of Class N-44, this series of Open Hoppers was among thousands of builds and rebuilds included in the new B&O assembly line at Du Bois in 1957.  "Twenty-Four Cars, Every Eight Hours" was their production rate.  The new B&O assembly program was the beginning of a new era in railroad car building.  By 1970, there were 3,100 on the revenue roster and by 1980 only 25 remained.
