This 40' Standard Box Car with Single Door is painted dark blue with black ends, yellow band and large yellow herald and yellow lettering.  It was serviced in August of 1957  The C&O was a Class I railroad formed in 1869.  In 1972 it became part of the Chessie System, along with the Baltimore & Ohio and Western Maryland Railway.  It was later combined with the Seaboard Coast Line and Louisville and Nashville railroads to become a key portion of CSX Transportation in the 1980's.
