INFORMATION:  

This 40' Standard Box Car is painted orange with black lettering.  In September of 1945, the Chicago & Eastern Illinois purchased five express box cars from Pullman Standard Car Manufacturing Company.  Numbered 1 - 5 each car carried a different slogan and ran with their passenger service to and from Chicago through Illinois and Indiana.  C&EI is a registered trademark of the Union Pacific Railroad.
