This 83' Heavyweight 3-2 Observation Car is painted the Southern Pacific's Olive Green with Metallic Gold Herald, lettering and road number and Name.  It was built by Pullman-Standard and then sold to the Southern Pacific in 1930.  This Observation car served the Sourthern Pacific for nearly 30 years.  The introduction of the steel cars brought about the end to the Luxurious, Artisan Crafted Custom Designed Wooden Cars, which had been the rule since the 1880's.
