SET INFORMATION:
Railroading history was made on June 15, 1973 when the three Railroads: Baltimore & Ohio; Chesapeake & Ohio and the Western Maryland became subsidiaries of the then Chessie System. A new image and paint scheme was introduced using C&O's cat "Chessie" as the emblem, but the individual railroads continued to carry their own initials. A series of mergers followed until the Chessie System was also merged by CSX in 1987. "The Cat Pack" celebrates the end of these three great railroads and the flags they once proudly carried. | | | | | | | | | | |
